F.A.Q. for customers regarding obtaining my plugins on different online stores. This page is still a subject of change.
Why having a separate online store and not only the Marketplace/FAB?
It’s both an attempt to secure my business if something goes sideways with the Marketplace/FAB and also an attempt to be more accessible to customers, as a separate store usually has much more options to me as a seller than the Marketplace/FAB. For example: having different price tiers on product versions, having much more opportunities on setting up sales, such as bundles, coupon codes etc.
Is there any difference on license/terms of use for a customer between the Marketplace/FAB and Itch.io?
Currently the license and terms of use are the same as it’s on the Marketplace/FAB.
Is there any difference between plugin versions on Marketplace/FAB and Itch.io?
Versions are exactly the same, except of Sky Creator, which has a Lite version exclusive on Itch.io. Learn more on the difference between Lite and Full versions of Sky Creator.
Will the both stores receive plugin updates?
Yes, updates for plugins will be available approximately at the same time in both stores.
How to get plugin updates from Itch.io or Marketplace/FAB?
On Itch.io when a new plugin version is released you will have an automatic access to a newer files which you will have to unzip. On the Marketplace/FAB the process is automated by the Epic Launcher.
